Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit nikkyamresh.github.io (the “Site”), how it is used, and the choices you have. The Site is operated as an individual by Nikky Amresh, based in Bangalore, India.

1. Information collected directly

The Site itself is a static website and does not require you to create an account or submit a form. I do not run my own analytics, tracking, or advertising on the Site.

If you email me, your email address and the contents of your message are stored in my email inbox so that I can reply.

2. Information collected by hosting and third-party services

• Hosting. The Site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may collect standard server logs (IP address, user agent, referring URL, timestamp) as described in the GitHub Privacy Statement.
• Fonts and assets. Fonts are bundled locally via @fontsource-variable and are not loaded from a third-party CDN at runtime.
• Sponsorship. If you sponsor my work, payments are processed by GitHub Sponsors and their payment processor (Stripe). I receive limited information from GitHub (such as your GitHub handle, sponsorship tier, and amount). I do not receive or store your payment-card information. 3. How information is used

Information is used only to:

• Operate, maintain, and secure the Site.
• Reply to emails you send me.
• Fulfill sponsorship perks (such as sending an occasional update email or listing sponsors on a public page, if you opted in).
• Comply with legal obligations.

I do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. I do not use your information for advertising.

4. Cookies

The Site does not set tracking cookies. A single technical entry in browser localStorage is used to remember your theme preference (light/dark) across visits; it is stored only in your browser and is not transmitted.

5. Retention

Emails are retained in my inbox for as long as reasonably useful to continue the conversation, and then archived or deleted. Information about sponsorships is retained for as long as required by GitHub, Stripe, and applicable tax and accounting law.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information that I hold about you. To exercise these rights, email nikkyamresh8@gmail.com.

Rights related to payment information are handled by GitHub Sponsors and Stripe under their respective privacy policies, as I do not store that data.

7. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The “Effective” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
