Sponsor

Support the work.

I write backend systems, ship developer tooling, publish open-source projects, and write long-form technical notes. If any of that has helped you or your team, you can sponsor the work through GitHub Sponsors.

What you’re sponsoring

Sponsorship supports ongoing effort on the following — all free and publicly available at no cost to anyone:

  • Open-source libraries and VS Code extensions — maintenance, releases, documentation, and issue triage.
  • Technical writing — long-form posts on backend architecture, platform engineering, and developer tooling.
  • CTF challenges and security research — challenge design, writeups, and tooling published to the community.
  • Answering questions and reviewing code for sponsors who want occasional input (tier-dependent).

Tiers

Sponsorship is processed through GitHub Sponsors. Tiers are one-time or recurring (monthly). You can cancel a recurring sponsorship at any time from your GitHub billing settings; billing stops at the end of the current cycle.

  • Supporter — a thank-you. Name listed on a public sponsors page if you opt in.
  • Backer — everything above, plus early access to drafts of long-form posts before they go public.
  • Patron — everything above, plus a short monthly email with what I’m working on and occasional Q&A.

What sponsorship isn’t

Sponsorship is a voluntary contribution to ongoing open-source and writing work. It is not a contract for deliverables, not a consulting engagement, and not a service-level commitment. If you need dedicated work for your team, please reach out directly — sponsorship is not the right channel for that.

Payments and billing

All payments are processed by GitHub and their payment processor (Stripe). I do not store, handle, or have access to your payment-card information. Refund and cancellation terms are described on the refunds page.
